West Highlands Picnic

A picnic was held in West Highlands on Saturday, April 16th in order to introduce WACS to one of the neighborhoods in our focus area.  West Highlands is a unique, mixed income neighborhood at the very center of our target area for WACS.  We had a great turnout with 46 people in attendance, along with 15 neighbhorhood kids at the park during the event who joined our group for dinner and a game of soccer (see picture below).  There was a high level of interest in bringing a K-8 charter school to the Westside!
